In this homemade version of the famous thick and rich frosty we combine milk and milk kefir for a sweet and probiotic-rich chocolate treat.
The egg yolks are important for emulsification. If you are not comfortable using raw egg yolks then opt for the lecithin.
- 2 cups milk kefir
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 egg yolks or a pinch of granulated lecithin
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- pinch of salt
- 12-18 ice cubes
- Pour milk and kefir into blender. Add ice and blend at high speed until ice is crushed.
- Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
