Recipe: Pumpkin Smoothie

Fall is a perfect time for fragrant warm smoothie flavors. Use any winter squash in place of pumpkin and warm the smoothie just slightly on a cool evening.


  • 1 cup yogurtkefir, or buttermilk or a combination
  • 2 Tbsp. organic pureed pumpkin
  • Dash of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice to taste


  1. Add ingredients to a blender and process until smooth.
  2. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
  3. Serve topped with a dash of cinnamon sugar or whipped cultured cream.
