Recipe: Remineralizing Toothpaste

With this recipe, toothpaste goes beyond simply cleaning. While the mineral content of the teeth is largely determined by the mineral content within the body, brushing with added minerals helps to bring these nutrients straight to where they are needed most.

  1. Combine baking soda and sweetener in a small bowl, mixing well with a fork until completely combined.
  2. Add in the coconut oil and mix until crumbly.
  3. Mix in essential oils and add water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until a thick paste-like consistency is achieved. (You should use 2 to 4 Tbsp. of water total).
  4. Transfer toothpaste to airtight container.

How to Use Remineralizing Toothpaste:

    • Dip dry toothbrush into toothpaste.
    • If the paste dries out simply rehydrate using one teaspoon at a time of water.
