Recipe: Peanut Butter Sour Cream Smoothie

This unusual smoothie has a delightful tang from the sour cream. A perfect cultured breakfast or midday snack.


  • 1 small ripe banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup thick sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp. creamy peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. cocoa
  • 1 cup crushed ice


  1. Place the banana in the freezer for 10 minutes before starting so that it is firm and cold.
  2. Add all ingredients to a blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately.
