I have been incubating this dehydrated culture for 3 weeks now, and it seems to finally be coming to life.
The room temp is 69 at night, and 71-75 daytime, and I know it could do better if it were warmer. So far there's no mold, and the brown sludge above & below the growing "disc" (hovers above bottom of Qt mason jar) tells me it's working. I had read that dehydrated cultures don't work, so I was doubtful about this one, but with time it should be viable. 30 days is a long time to wait to brew my 1st batch KT, so I am getting anxious for it to grow!
Very nice packaging & excellent instructions included. I just have to be patient! Nice website w/lots of good info/support. Thanks!
