  • What is the mesh size of the screen? I want to make sure the openings on these screens are smaller than the ones I currently have.
    
    Some of my sprouting screens (purchased elsewhere) have larger openings than some varieties of seeds I use. This makes rinsing more difficult prior to the seeds actually sprouting.
    
    
  • We don't have a measurement for that screen, but we would consider the mesh to be "fine." The unsprouted seed would have to be very small to make it through the tiny holes in the screen.​ You wouldn't have a problem using this screen with any of the sprouting seeds that we sell.

  • How wide are these screens? The jars I have are 70mm in diameter at the mouth, but many of the screens I've seen are 83mm.
  • Our sprouting screens are about 82mm in diameter, maybe 83mm.

  • Are these screens reusable, and for how long? I'm just curious if they wear out quickly and if I should go with the plastic lid. Thank you!
  • The screens are pretty durable. They may eventually develop rust around the edges and need to be replaced. They also have sharp edges so caution should be taken if small children are around.
