    • Hi, Can you tell me what type of oat is your sprouted oat? I have sprouted (naturally raw) hulless oats. They are easy/quick to sprout, and taste mild and good. But when I dehydrated and ground them they tasted bitter...so much that the finished recipe (raw peanut butter cookies) had to be thrown out. I am looking for raw oats/oat flour as hulled groats, steel cut, and rolled oats are heated as you know and can not sprout or germinate. So what is your oat and where does it come from?
    • The Sprouted Oats are made from organic dehulled oat groats.

    • If they are sprouted from dehulled oat grouts, how can they sprout since they are heated in the dehulling process?
    • The producer answers: Not all oats are de-hulled using steam. We sampled sprouted oat groats from several suppliers until we found one that gives us an 80-90% sprout rate.

    • Do these oats need to be cooked before using them for a cold breakfast cereal? Can they be used raw as a granola type breakfast cereal or trail mix?
    • Typically these are cooked or baked as with other oats, but you could try eating them raw.
