Make delicious side dishes or baked goods with Sprouted 100% Organic Brown Rice from To Your Health Sprouted Flour Company.  Sprouted brown rice contains more vitamins, minerals and enzymes than non-sprouted rice.  Sprouting the rice reduces or eliminates phytic acid which inhibits the absorption of nutrients.

 Two Options:

  • Whole Rice
  • Freshly milled Rice Flour

Sprouted Brown Rice will generally keep for 3-4 months in the pantry, 6-8 months in the refrigerator or up to 14 months in the freezer.

    • How fine is the grind on your brown rice flour? Most gluten free recipes recommend a fine grind like Ancient Grains or Bob's Red Mill. How does this product compare to those? I imagine since it is sprouted it's probably softer and less gritty, but I was just curious if anyone had tried gluten free baking with this and how it had performed.
    • The sprouted brown rice flour is very soft and fine. It makes excellent baked goods in any gluten free recipe.

    • Can the sprouted flour be used for gravies? I use regular brown rice flour to make my gravies and love the smoothness of the gravies. Thank You
    • Yes, sprouted flour can be used to make wonderful gravies. Use as you would regular flour.

    • Is your rice the same thing as GABA rice?
    • No, this sprouted brown rice is not GABA rice. From the producer:

      The rice is washed and rinsed, then soaked, sprouted, then dried. The soak time varies for different grains, the sprouting cycle is constant. Specialized machines are used, so the sprout cycle is anywhere between 24 - 36 hours. The sprouted grains are dehydrated at 85-100°F.

    • Hi: I have what might sound like a 'silly' question, but I just need to be 'sure':

      Is the 'freshly milled flour' listed above FROM 'sprouted' brown rice?

      Also, is it available in 'smaller' sizes; i.e. 1 or 2 pounds?

    • Yes, the sprouted flours are made fresh from sprouted grains. The sizes listed are the only sizes available for each product.

    • Hi,
      Once the brown rice is sprouted is it then dried? If so at what tempetures? I have sprouted brown rice but found that it needs to be used at initial sprout. If I don't the process continues and flavour affected. I tend to bring the rice to a slight simmer and then cook in a slow ccoker low temp to conserve enzyme integrity. Its so good and incredibly digestive. The gaba acids are of so much interest in this food/process. Food for consciousness.

This flour is the absolute best for using in gluten free flour blends. It has no extra taste or grit feel in the finished product. Even the batter is better than when using other rice flours. I come from a family of bakers and going gluten free more than ten years ago was very difficult. I found this flour a couple years ago and I no longer feel left out of the food part of our culture, especially at home where it matters most! (Posted on February 20, 2014)
