This starter kit provided all we needed to start brewing water kefir. Two weeks in and we are LOVING it. The instructions are thorough and the grains are easy to care for. Flavoring possibilities are limited only by your imagination. A couple of favorites so far are cherry-almond (secondary ferment of 2 quarts wk with a generous handful of dried cherries and almond extract to taste) and apple-ginger (secondary ferment with dried apples and a few slices of fresh ginger). I read about making kefir soda on a blog and had to try it. My family has just started the journey of real food. We made our first batch, which was easier than I thought it would be, and my whole family loves it. It is helping my husband kick his soda habit. I bought grolsch style beer bottles, and it seems like it just keeps getting better the more batches we make. The minerals are a great part of the package, especially since we have RO water. After recieving some excellent suggestions from Bonnie, I ordered the water kefir kit. It started easily and is easy to keep going.

My grandkids ages 13, 11, 8 love the water kefir and ask for it every time they are here. My 11 year old grand daughter is going to take some started grains home and raise them herself. She is taking the little guys very serious so she should have lots of water to share with her brothers.

You have no idea how many people I have sent to your web site. I appreciate the support you offer and the quality of the products. My Greek yogurt starter has been going for 1 1/2 years and just seems to get better all the time. Thanks for being there. (Posted on May 15, 2013)

I've been brewing my own water kefir for a few weeks now. It took a while for the grains to get going and for me to feel like they were working like they should. I did learn that they like when I add molasses to the plain sugar I had been using, I get a lot more carbonation when I add a teaspoon of molasses. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. Came with good instructions that made it easy to use. Love the water with fresh lemon juice, a healthy lemonade! (Posted on January 21, 2013)

I think I contaminated my cultures first thing when I used the handle of a wooden utensil that had not been used or washed in a long time to stir the first jar. I soon had floaties on top and it smelled bad. Suzanne chatted with me, which was helpful and I have been rehabilitating the grains over the holidays.
