    • Love your videos and products. Where can I find the larger plastic mesh stainer that is shown in your kefir
      video.
    • The strainer we currently carry is 4 inches in diameter. If you would like a larger one, try your local restaurant supply store. For using with cultured foods, we recommend a bpa-free plastic or stainless steel strainer. Other metals might react with the kefir grains, affecting their health.

    • Is the strainer mesh made of nylon? Or is the whole thing plastic? Thank you!
    • We do not have specific information on the materials the mesh is made from, but we do know that it is BPA-free.

I was expecting a larger size when I ordered this. What arrived makes more sense - it's just the right size to sit on a standard mouth Mason jar. Thick Kefir will get stuck, but a silicone spatula can be used to lift the grains and help the thick liquid get through. (Posted on October 17, 2011)

I bought this little strainer because I needed a plastic one to make kefir. I thought it cost quite a bit for a little bittie strainer but I tried ordering another bigger one and the quality is not there. The mesh is smaller on this one and makes for a creamer kefir. Worth the $2.99. (Posted on October 11, 2011)
