These are good for storing anything else you want in the very handy classic ball/mason jars. The plastic lids are water and air tight - so they're perfect for medium-term storage of yogurt, kefir, sourdough starter, whey, etc.

Best Mason Lids Ever Review by Jshan

Have used my set of these for years and love them. They are by far the best lids for Mason jars that I've ever found - and I have done my research on the subject! They are very well made; thick & sturdy not flims, fit jars perfectly, and are extremely durable. They even manage to be almost totally stain-proof. I've ruined 1 out of 40 in about a decade of use on my set! When tightened fully they seal perfectly and don't leak at all. The only thing they can't do is hold tight when a jar is filled with boiling hot liquid and jiggled. In that case they will loosen & dribble. Other than that they go above & beyond meeting all my very high demands. (Posted on January 1, 2013)
