• We love our products and stand behind them.  This company was born out of our desire to assemble the highest quality starter cultures and supplies in one place.  These are the items we use to make food for our own families and are proud to offer to your family.  We strive to carry only the highest quality products.  We manufacture an extensive line of starter cultures using fresh organic ingredients; we also research our third-party suppliers to ensure the highest quality available for every product we sell.  We are committed to excluding GMO products from our catalog.

Processing Time

We strive to process all orders within two business days (Monday-Friday) of receiving both the order and payment. You will be notified if there will be a significant shipping delay.  Orders are shipped from Vancouver, Washington (excluding Food Dehydrators, Fermentation Crocks, Sprouted Flour/Grain, Ready-to-Eat Cultured Vegetables/Condiments and Family Grain Mills which ship directly from the respective manufacturers).

United States:

• Flat Rate and Economy 
  • Flat Rate Standard Shipping within the Continental U.S. (excluding Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, U.S. Territories, APO/FPO) for only $3.99 per order/address.  Shipping via the most economical method (our choice) which may include USPS First Class Mail, USPS Parcel Post, USPS Priority Mail, FedEx Ground or UPS Ground.  Transit Time Estimate: 3-10 business days*
• US Postal Service
  • USPS Parcel Post.  Shipping cost based on order weight and may be calculated by clicking on the "Calculate Shipping" Link in the shopping cart.  Transit Time Estimate: 3-10 business days*  Please note, transit time can be significantly longer for Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, U.S. Territories, APO/FPO--up to eight weeks on occasion.
    
  • USPS Priority Mail.  Shipping cost based on order weight and may be calculated by clicking on the "Calculate Shipping" Link in the shopping cart.  Transit Time Estimate: 2-3 business days*
• UPS
  • UPS Ground.  Shipping cost based on order weight and may be calculated by clicking on the "Calculate Shipping" Link in the shopping cart.  Available within Continental U.S. only.  Transit Time Estimate: 3-8 business days*
  • UPS 3-Day Select.  Shipping cost based on order weight and may be calculated by clicking on the "Calculate Shipping" Link in the shopping cart.  Transit Time Estimate: 3 business days*
  • UPS 2nd Day Air.  Shipping cost based on order weight and may be calculated by clicking on the "Calculate Shipping" Link in the shopping cart.  Available within Continental U.S. only.  Transit Time Estimate: 2 business days*
  • UPS Next Day Saver.  Shipping cost based on order weight and may be calculated by clicking on the "Calculate Shipping" Link in the shopping cart.  Transit Time Estimate: 1 business day with delivery by close of business*
  • UPS Next Day.  Shipping cost based on order weight and may be calculated by clicking on the "Calculate Shipping" Link in the shopping cart.  Transit Time Estimate: 1 business day*

Canada:

• Shipping outside of the United States is not available for individual orders.  Wholesale and Buying Club/Co-op accounts are available for Canadian businesses.  Please contact us for further information.  Canadian customers may have orders shipped to US mailing addresses.  When doing so, please use the US address for both the billing and shipping address and then contact us with the actual billing address.
  

Outside the United States and Canada:

• Shipping outside of the United States is not available for individual orders.  Wholesale accounts can be made available.  Please contact us for consideration.

Payment Methods

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.  If you prefer to pay via Money Order, please select the Money Order option at check out.  Money orders should be sent to Cultures for Health, 13023 NE Highway 99 Suite 7-4, Vancouver WA 98686.  Be sure to include your full name, address, phone number, e-mail address and order number or order form.  Please note, we reserve the right to delay shipment up to two weeks following payment receipt for orders paid via money order for verification purposes.  

Responsibility for Product Shipment

Once an order has been delivered to the shipping carrier, Cultures for Health is no longer responsible for the contents. We encourage customers to use the tracking information provided to them to track shipments and retrieve their items promptly.  Please note, starter cultures and some cheese making supplies (e.g. rennet) are sensitive to high temperatures.  Please remove these items from the mailbox promptly and store them in the refrigerator or the freezer.  Cultured vegetables/juices/condiments are shipped in a chilled state and should be placed in the refrigerator or freezer immediately upon arrival.

Returns and Replacements

Please contact us if you wish to return an item.  Items must be returned in unused resellable condition within 15 days of receipt.  Refunds for returns will be issued to the payment method at the time of the order (credit card, PayPal account, etc.).  A 15% restocking fee will be applied to returned items.

Tracking Your Order

A shipping confirmation e-mail with tracking information will be sent to the e-mail address listed on the order once the items have been prepared for shipment.  Shipping confirmation e-mails are sometimes caught by spam/junk mail folders so please add culturesforhealth.com to your list of safe e-mail addresses.  Please click here to check the status of your order.

8.2% Sales Tax for Washington State shipping addresses.
