I made sauerkraut for the first time with the Vegetable Master. I fermented cabbage and carrots for about a week.It was a little crunchy but tasted tangy like sauerkraut should. My next step is to experiment with different sea saltsand longer fermentation. (Posted on July 16, 2011)

I've made several batches of mixed vegetable ferments with the jars. The only drawback is that I wasn't able to keep the vegetables covered with water in the jars (no weights) so the very top layer turned brown. But generally the jars are great. (Posted on July 27, 2011)
