My husband and I began making sauerkraut and kimchi a few months ago with two Half-Gallon Fermented Vegetable Masters. We'd never cultured anything before and were pretty nervous about it. The Vegetable Masters made it a no-brainer. Fill 'em up, put 'em in the pantry, wait. Eat! No mold, no slime, no stink, no babysitting. Just crunchy & delicious kraut and kimchi. I'm back on the site to order more equipment. I do think the price is a somewhat steep for a glass jar & plastic airlock, but I'm willing to pay for the ease of use and peace of mind. Recommended.
