Recipe: Dreadlock Cream

Save money and skip the chemicals. Dread cream makes a rich, nourishing cream for beautiful dreadlocks. It can also be used as a conditioner for natural black hair. The combination of mango and shea butter is heavy enough to moisturize even the driest hair, while soaking in quickly.

  1. Melt solid fats in a double boiler.
  2. Whisk in the olive oil and grape seed oil. Place mixture in the refrigerator for about an hour to cool.
  3. Use a stick blender to whip the cream until fluffy, adding the essential oils as you blend.
  4. Store in a closed container in a cool place.
