Milk Kefir Grains

Bought the grains and had never used dried grains before so was a little concerned about the "reawakening" process. I used organic whole milk and was making kefir in four days! My house isn't terribly warm so I was concerned about whether I'd have to find a warmer spot than the kitchen counter. I've now switched to organic 2% milk and have a fresh batch of creamy goodness every morning for my turmeric/honey smoothie. I've taken a few days off while I was away and placing them into the fridge did not slow them down or stop them from working when I got home. I tried using raw milk and the outcome wasn't nearly as successful. Not sure of the issue there. I am VERY pleased with this item. Looking forward to fermenting some veggies and making kombucha, also!
