Kefir Cream

 

Ingredients:

  • Milk Kefir Grains or Powdered Kefir Starter Culture
  • Heavy Whipping Cream or Raw Cream*


Instructions:

*Heavy whipping cream will yield a thicker finished product than will raw cream. 

Place the kefir grains in the cream and allow the cream to kefir for 12-48 hours.  When the desired consistency and taste is achieved, remove the kefir grains and place the grains in fresh milk.  If using a dehydrated powdered kefir starter culture, follow the instructions on the packet and substitute cream for milk. 

 

Ways to Use Kefir Cream:

  • Kefir Butter
  • Kefir Ice Cream
  • To Make Whipped Cream
  • In your coffee or tea
  • As a sour cream style condiment
  • As a creamy topping for fruits, soups and more!
  • As a high fat base, nutrient dense base for smoothies
