    • If these pigments can stain clothing, why would I want to use them in a lip stain, or won't it stain after it's mixed with glycerin?
    • As a powder, they do stain more easily. When mixed with glycerin, it usually just takes standard make up remover with an oil base to take the color off your skin/lips!

  • From Elizabeth Gates at 10/21/2015 11:38 PM
    • Approximately how many soap bars will .1 oz of pigment dye?

      Thank you.
    • The recommended amount for 1# of soap is to start with 1/8 tsp. pigment (mixed with a little bit of glycerin until it looks like a liquid: http://www.culturesforhealth.com/guidelines-adding-pigment-fragrance-botanicals-melt-pour-soap). Depending on how light or dark you want your soap, you may or may not use the entire 1/8 tsp mixture. For the entire .1 oz package, we should expect about 7-8 "1/8 tsp. servings" of pigment.
