Coffee Kefir Ice Cream

 

The warm roasted flavor of coffee combines with rich cream and tangy kefir for this delicious coffee ice cream.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups kefir (use 1 cup kefir cheese + 1 cup milk kefir for a creamier result)
  • 2 cups cream, half-and-half, or milk
  • 1/2 cup strong coffee or espresso
  • 3/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Can use kefir made with cow milk, goat milk, or coconut milk.
  2. Add sugar to hot coffee or espresso, stir to dissolve.
  3. Whisk coffee-sugar mixture with remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Chill 1 to 2 hours or according to manufacturer’s instructions.
