Sprouted flour contains more vitamins, minerals and enzymes than conventional flour. Sprouting the rye berries (kernels) reduces or eliminates phytic acid which inhibits the absorption of nutrients. Sprouted rye flour is milled to order so you receive only the freshest available flour (see our FAQ for information on storing the flour).
Sprouted Rye Flour can be used in recipes calling for all purpose, spelt or whole wheat flour using a 1:1 ratio. Sprouted rye flour makes wonderful bread, pizza, biscuits, cookies and many other baked goods. If you wish to make pastries, we suggest using sifted sprouted rye flour which is more delicate has the bran removed.
Sprouted rye flour is made from 100% organic rye berries (kernels), is milled to order and is processed in a nut-free facility. It will generally keep for 3-4 months in the pantry, 6-8 months in the refrigerator or up to 14 months in the freezer.

Finely sifted flour from which the bran has been removed. This flour is best suited for delicate cakes and pastries.
