- What is the difference between the "Deluxe" and the "Economy" versions of these dehydrators (aside from the price of course? Both have plastic trays, adjustable thermostat, and 8 square feet of capacity for the 5 tray versions, according to the product descriptions, and no differences are listed.
- The Deluxe version has upgraded parts (440 watt fan etc.) and a 10 year warranty instead of 5 years.

- I have never tried using a dehydrator, but am interested in this version. What are the benefits of the ParaFlexx sheets and the stainless steel trays?
- The ParaFlexx sheets are wonderful for making fruit leathers and items that might seep through the mesh trays. They can also be used as a liner for your cookie sheets! The stainless steel trays are great for general purpose and work especially well for dehydrating meat (for example, beef jerky).

I've used this to make yogurt and a few batches of granola. It's worked perfectly every time! The down side is the fan is pretty loud (I live in a studio so it's hard to sleep when I have it running). (Posted on January 13, 2013)Quality Price Value
